Privacy Policy

Your focus stays yours.

We minimize data use. Focus sessions, tags, sunlight, grain, and farm progress stay on your device by default. Focus Farm contains no advertising or cross-app tracking. Apple and RevenueCat process transaction status needed to confirm purchases.

Stored locally by defaultCore usage data lives in the app's local database and system preferences.
No tracking or saleWe do not use advertising identifiers or sell personal information to data brokers.
Controlled by youiCloud, notifications, and Screen Time access are optional and managed through settings.

1. Scope and controller

This policy applies to the iOS and iPadOS app Focus Farm (bundle identifier com.fuyao.deskpet) and this privacy-policy website. The developer of Focus Farm ("we," "us," or "our") is responsible for explaining how the app processes data.

This policy does not govern services operated by Apple, including the App Store, iCloud, notifications, or Screen Time. Apple processes data for those services under its own terms and privacy policy.

2. Data we process

To provide timers, statistics, and the farm experience, the app processes the following data on your device:

CategoryExamplesPurpose and default location
Focus dataStart time, duration, Pomodoro or stopwatch mode, tag, and sunlight earnedCreates session history and statistics; stored locally by default
Farm dataSunlight, grain, plots, crop types, growth progress, and harvest countMaintains game progress; stored locally by default
Settings and stateFocus mode, timer settings, sound, reminder time, and active-session stateRemembers settings and restores timers; stored locally by default
Allowlist selectionOpaque app tokens supplied by iOSRestricts other apps in Allowlist Mode; stored locally and in the app group container
Purchase dataAnonymous purchase identifier, product, transaction status, and subscription expirationProcessed by Apple and RevenueCat to complete and restore purchases and confirm Pro access
Content you choose to provideText entered in the feedback composerSent only after you select a recipient in the system share sheet and confirm sending
We do not collect: your name, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone content, health data, browsing history, or advertising identifier. We do not create profiles across apps or websites.

The current app requires no account and includes no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or crash-reporting SDK. Focus and farm data is not uploaded to a developer-operated application server. The app uses RevenueCat to manage purchase status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous purchase identifier and transaction and subscription status returned by Apple, but does not receive your card number or full payment details.

3. System permissions and features

Notifications

With your permission, the app may notify you when a focus session ends, at stopwatch intervals, when Scholar Mode needs you to return, or at a daily reminder time you select. These notifications are scheduled through iOS. You can change or disable them in Settings > Notifications > Focus Farm.

Screen Time / Family Controls

The app requests this permission only when you choose Allowlist Mode. iOS gives the app opaque application tokens used to shield apps that are not allowed during focus. Those tokens do not reveal the identity of the apps you selected to us, and we do not read or upload your app-usage history. Scholar Mode only uses the time at which Focus Farm enters the background to determine whether you have been away for more than 10 seconds.

Live Activities

When enabled, remaining focus time may appear on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. iOS presents this information on your device; enabling it does not send the content to our server.

Screen awake, sound, and haptics

These features only keep the display awake during focus or play feedback on the device. They do not read other content from your device.

4. Optional iCloud sync

iCloud sync is off by default. If you turn it on, the app stores a synchronized copy of focus records, balances, tags, and farm progress using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store so the data can stay in sync across your Apple devices. The data is associated with the Apple Account signed in on your device and is transmitted and stored by Apple. We do not operate a separate account backend and cannot view your iCloud content.

Turning sync off stops future synchronization but may not automatically remove a copy already stored in iCloud. You can manage related data through iCloud storage settings on your Apple device.

5. Sharing, sale, and third-party services

  • We do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms.
  • If you enable iCloud, Apple processes synchronized data as the system service provider. Apple's policies also apply when you use the App Store, notifications, and Screen Time features.
  • When you purchase or restore Pro, RevenueCat processes an anonymous purchase identifier, product, and transaction status to confirm access and provide basic revenue analytics. RevenueCat processes this data under its privacy policy.
  • If you choose to send feedback through the system share sheet, the mail, messaging, or other app you select processes that content under its own privacy policy.
  • We may respond to a valid request from a competent authority where legally required or necessary to protect users or the public. Because app data normally remains on your device or in your personal iCloud storage, we generally do not possess that content.

6. Storage and retention

Local data remains in the app sandbox until you remove the app or otherwise clear the relevant data. Uninstalling the app normally removes the unsynchronized local database and preferences. Any iCloud copy is handled according to your iCloud settings and Apple's retention practices. Purchase records and entitlement status are retained under Apple and RevenueCat transaction, accounting, and legal requirements.

When you visit this policy website, the web server may create standard technical logs containing an IP address, access time, requested path, and browser type for security and troubleshooting. These logs are rotated under normal server-operations practices and are not used for advertising or profiling.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Access: View local data in the session history, statistics, and farm screens.
  • Correction: Change settings, reminders, tags, and focus modes in the app.
  • Permissions: Manage notifications, Screen Time, and Live Activities through iOS settings.
  • Stop syncing: Turn off iCloud data sync in the app's settings.
  • Manage purchases: Cancel auto-renewal in your Apple Account subscription settings or restore an existing purchase in the app.
  • Deletion: Remove local app data by deleting the app; manage cloud copies through iCloud storage settings.
  • Questions or complaints: Contact us using the email address below.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may grant additional rights concerning personal data. Contact us to exercise a right that is not available directly through the app or operating system.

8. Children

Focus Farm is a general-purpose time-management tool and is not designed to collect children's personal information. No account is required, and usage data is not transmitted to us by default. Children should use features involving system permissions or iCloud sync with guidance from a parent or guardian.

9. Security

The app relies on the iOS sandbox, app-group access controls, and Apple's iCloud security features, and follows a least-privilege approach. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us if you discover a security issue affecting your data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when features, data practices, or applicable requirements change. We will show the new effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide an in-app notice or another appropriate form of notice.

11. Contact us

For questions about this policy, our data practices, or your privacy rights, contact the developer of Focus Farm:

We will respond as soon as reasonably possible after reviewing your request. For a rights request, we may ask for enough information to verify the device or data involved, but we will not request information unrelated to your request.
